ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

WAYNE ERIC BOYD

ACTOR. AUTHOR. COACH. FORMER STATE and national WRESTLING CHAMPION. producer.

MAKING HEADLINES SINCE DAY ONE

Wayne Eric Boyd was proudly born on February 2, 1947 in Hempstead, Long Island, New York 14 miles from Manhattan. From his birth he was an exciting character according to his mother, Lavinia Avis Wroth Boyd.

In 1949, Wayne was seen in front of the Buckingham Palace in full western gear with guns drawn on a palace guard and then taking on a London Bobby, from behind, in the streets of London. It created quite a stir and following.

“NEVER GIVE UP ATTITUDE”

Wayne followed in his older brothers footsteps being a Little League baseball and Midget League football all-star. By the time Wayne was in the 7th grade his passion became wrestling after placing 2nd in the Norfolk, Virginia City Wrestling Tournament by a one point loss and he didn't like the feeling.

The premier high schools in Norfolk were Granby, Maury and Norview and in the 8th grade, at age 13, Wayne would walk from Norview Junior High School to Norview Senior High School and defeat all comers, some four and five years older, to make first string on the Norview Junior Varsity Wrestling Team in 1960-61 and would finish the season 10-1.

He didn't like that feeling either, losing was for losers he thought and his "Never Give Up Attitude" began with a burning desire to win.

The next four years, starting in 1961-62, he would place 3rd in the District and State Championships feeling good about winning his third place matches but the 1st place finish was his goal with an undefeated season.

1962-63: Wayne placed 3rd in the District and 1st in the State of Virginia, still not good enough.

1963-64: Wayne placed 2nd in the District and 1st in the State defeating an opponent who had defeated him four times, still not good enough.

1964-65: Wayne placed 1st in the District and 1st in the State and completed an undefeated season and to this day is the only 3X State Wrestling Champion in the history of Norview High School.

Good enough but what's next?

ACADEMICALLY ACCOMPLISHED and ELITE WRESTLER

Wayne graduated high school and received an offer from the #1 Wrestling College in the Nation, Oklahoma State University, Coached by the Great Myron Roderick. Wayne was the first in the Boyd family to continue to a higher education.

He finished his senior year undefeated and was voted the "Outstanding Wrestler in the United States” by The National Wrestling Coaches Clinic. In 1970, Wayne graduated with a BS degree in Communications (RTF) Radio, Television and Film with minors in speech, journalism and theater.

WHAT’s NEXT FOR WAYNE?

At 76 years of age Wayne is just getting started! He is developing a luxury wellness center, named Margot Cartier, writing his memoirs “Wrestling With Life” and in development on two feature films titled “RattleSnake” and “103 lbs.” while he launches a new wrestling league with partners called the “American Wrestling League” (AWL).

After several near death experiences and operations with only a 3% chance of survival, Wayne is grateful to God, his Lord Jesus Christ and his friends. He is not happy with the cognitive bias, wrongful conviction, and being falsely accused in the United States, that’s based on lies and made up circumstances by the prosecution and accusers, but like he says;

"It's Not What Happens To You In Life That Counts, It's How You Handle What Happens To You That Counts."

Don't count Wayne Eric Boyd out with his never give up attitude!
