OUR HISTORY

  • 1976

Founded in 1976 as an advertising agency and production company, WEB Productions produced 8 TV 00:30 commercials for Meekins Pontiac in Virginia Beach, VA. These commercials were franchised as far west as Dallas, TX, featuring the slogan 'We’ll Jump Over Any Deal.' The campaign showcased Wayne Boyd jumping a horse over a Sunbird Pontiac Model. WEB Productions constructed a Pontiac western facade with the Pontiac Saloon and LeMans jail, driving into the western town in a Pontiac Firebird with the slogan, 'If You’ve Got To Get Out Of Town In A Hurry, Get Out Of Town In A Meekins Firebird Pontiac.' Other dealerships adapted the campaign by changing the names to fit their company's identity.

  • 1984

In 1984, WEB Productions founded Boyd’s Auto Detail & Limousine Service in Manhattan Beach, CA, servicing all of Southern California with thirteen limousines and detailing over 2,000 cars per year.

  • 1996

In 1996, WEB Productions produced the feature film 'One More Shot,' releasing it in theaters in 1997. The movie's tagline, 'He Never Gave Up On His Dream,' portrayed Wayne Boyd's six attempts to try out for the United States Olympic Wrestling Team from 1964 to 1984. The film featured notable wrestlers such as Danny Hodge and John Smith, a 2X Olympic Wrestling Champion in 1988 and 1992. Wayne Eric Boyd starred as Brock Jones.

  • 2010 - PRESENT

Following this success, WEB Productions went on to produce 'Champions Of Champions' and 'Blood Guts Glory,' wrestling movies exploring 'What It Takes' to be a champion and the history of wrestling. The company produced over 500 thirty-minute TV shows, including 'Wake Up with Wayne,' 'Good Morning Palm Springs,' 'Palm Springs Today,' 'On Location with Wayne Boyd,' and 'About Town with Wayne Boyd.' Additionally, WEB Productions created over 5,000 thirty and sixty-second commercials over ten years. During this period, the company produced two campaigns for the Mayor of Palm Springs and co-founded TMWC - Titan Mercury Wrestling Club with Andy Barth, elevating wrestling to a new level of world and Olympic success.

Wayne Eric Boyd

Wayne Eric Boyd's extraordinary journey, spanning from his thrilling entrance into the world in 1947 to his ongoing pursuits in 2023 and beyond, is a narrative of resilience, triumphs, and unwavering determination. Born just miles from Manhattan, Wayne's early escapades, from challenging a London Bobby to a Buckingham Palace standoff, foreshadowed a life marked by boldness.

His passion for wrestling ignited in the 7th grade, and from that point forward, Wayne's "Never Give Up Attitude" became the driving force behind his achievements. A three-time State Wrestling Champion, Wayne's journey led him to become Temple University's first NCAA Wrestling Champion, etching his name in the annals of wrestling history.

Beyond wrestling, Wayne ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing the first-ever full-time wrestling and health club in 1972. In 1976, he founded WEB Productions, an advertising and marketing company that left an indelible mark on Virginia Beach and beyond.

Wayne's life took a new turn in 1984 when he embarked on a California adventure, founding Boyd's Automobile Detail and Limousine business. His journey unfolded in various roles—coach, businessman, producer, actor, and even a mayoral candidate in Palm Springs. His contributions to wrestling reached new heights when he co-founded Titan Mercury Wrestling Club in 2012.

However, Wayne's resilience faced an unprecedented challenge in 2016, leading to a legal battle that tested his character. Despite the obstacles, Wayne emerged with an unyielding spirit, challenging false accusations and wrongful convictions.

Today, at 76, Wayne is not only overcoming the hurdles but actively shaping new ventures. From developing the health resort "Margot Cartier" to writing his memoirs in "Wrestling With Life," and working on feature films, Wayne's journey continues to inspire.
